It's now been snowing for close to 4 hours and isn't scheduled to end until sometime tomorrow, with the current forecast for between 15-30 cm's of snow.
We've been lucky so far.....in the past week Calgary and Edmonton had the joy of experiencing temperatures in the -50 Celsius range and yesterday the provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador declared an emergency due the 150+ km per hour winds and 85+ cm's of snow that fell in a 24 hour period, virtually paralyzing parts of the province, closing St. John's airport, halted all public transportation, cancelled schools, and led to the suspension of ferry service to Labrador island itself.
So while I sit in my living room later and sip a glass of a Cabernet Sauvignon while snacking on some baguette and cheddar cheese, I'll make sure to send some warm thoughts to my neighbours to the east and keep my complaints to myself when shovelling the side desk in the morning.
At least I won't have pictures to post of my doorway completely blocked with snow, making me unable to leave my house. No, I'm going to have some work ahead of me to get to my car in order to drive down to see my daughter and her family, but I'm going to be able to do that without too much hassle.
So the question remains.........
Who the hell pissed off Mother Nature and can you please make amends!!!!
My name is Marcus and so far 2020 has been really interesting, with some pending blogs to explain just what I mean.
