I would like to take the time to wish all the mother's out there a very Happy Mother's Day.
Whether you are part of a traditional family with both parents present, a single mom carrying the entire parental load yourself, or a family with two mom's, please enjoy your day.
I woke up early this morning and after taking Moki for a walk sent out two texts to a couple of mom's who have always made me smile. One new to the game and one a veteran of many years.
The first went to my daughter as is her first year celebrating Mother's Day as a mom in her own right. She is an amazing mom and my grandson will always have her in his corner come what may in his life.
The second went to my ex, this being her 28th year doing the mom thing. She has been a rock of strength for both our daughter and our son over the years, making me feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to co-parent our incredible children. They may get their competitive mature and desire to learn but the empathy and caring they show those around them comes directly from the wonderful woman who gave birth to each of them.
I`m not sure if she`ll see this but I`d like to wish C a Happy Mother`s Day as well, hoping she was able to talk to her eldest and to spend time with her youngest this weekend. Another woman who makes me smile when I think of all the love she has inside her for those close to her.
So for one and all of you, here in Canada, North America, Europe, or Asia-Pacific..........
My name is Marcus and this makes up today`s post in its entirety.
